Risk Assessments are a legal obligation that all employers must abide by to ensure that work is carried out safely.  Over the years, En-Sure has helped various employers meet their legal requirements by carrying out an assessment of the risks at their workplace.   

Steven Treeby, our Competent Person in Occupational Health and Safety, has assisted various Contractors in preparing Risk Assessments for construction sites over the years.  Entities such as the Environment & Resources Authority and Ambjent Malta have also engaged En-Sure to carry out a number of Risk Assessments for their various Departments.

More recently, we also prepared a Risk Assessment for a private school in Tarxien, which in addition to covering aspects directly linked to the occupational health and safety legal framework in Malta, also factored in the requirements set out by the National Minimum Conditions for All Schools Regulations.  

The benefits of carrying out a suitable, sufficient and systematic Risk Assessment of workplace hazards are many.  In addition to ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, Risk Assessments would benefit companies by identifying hazards which could cause harm to employees, clients and visitors, preventing accidents that can also lead to lower insurance premiums.  Reducing accidents can also lead to fewer costs associated with workers’ compensation and lost productivity.  Improving the safety culture, enhanced employee wellbeing and continuous improvement are amongst the benefits that a workplace risk assessment can bring to an organisation.
